I am a theatre artist from Mandeville, Louisiana who is currently based in Chicago, Illinois. I attended Louisiana State University and earned a BA in Theatre with concentrations in Design & Technology and Theatre Studies. I also participated in the 2018 class of USITT Elite Training with Cirque du Soliel as a member of the projections track. As a theatre artist, I have on many roles including stage manager, scenic designer and constructor, projection designer, and director.
I particularly enjoy working as a stage manager and carrying a show from the first production meeting to closing night. Being the center of communication for a show is an new and exciting challenge every time and one that I enthusiasitcally take on. My stage management credits include large productions, Shakespeare, dance and physical theatre, as well as traveling shows. As a scenic artist, I specialize in working within limited budgets and supplies, which push to do more with less when creating captivating environments.
I am most interested in working in site specific and immersive theatre productions. The idea of blurring the lines between actor and audience and challenging the idea of what is a theatrical space is especially fascinating to me. For my undergraduate thesis, I wrote and directed Upgrade, an immersive experience that brought audience members through multiple performance tracks. The script primarily engaged in questions of how to maintain one’s humanity while increasingly incorporating cybernetics into the human body.
